As you may know, Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly has been a Wood-Mode master’s club dealer for 21 years representing the top 25 dealers in the US. We are currently ranked at #6 in the nation thanks to the incredibly creative team we have the pleasure to work with each day — the designers, administrative teams, field management teams, craftspeople, and trades . Ken and I are very proud of the manufacturers we represent. We have meticulously picked the best of the best in all our categories from cabinetry, to countertops, to fixtures, and I can tell you Wood-Mode custom kitchen cabinetry is at the very top in terms of client satisfaction and customer service. This is a company that stands behind their quality cabinetry in every way and offers our clients a lifetime limited warranty.
Wood-Mode is a consistent leader in design and innovation, and this year they’ve done it again at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas introducing four new fabulous door styles as part of their 2014 product introductions. Our Blog Tour Las Vegas team had the privilege of a private showing and cocktail party at Wood-Mode’s hospitality suite. Ken and I were thrilled to share our love of Wood Mode with fellow design bloggers and would like to extend a sincere thank you to Wood Mode for being a BlogTour sponsor.
Here is a snapshot of the four new door styles Wood-Mode is rolling out. They have earned a “Best-of-Class” status for their unique styling and elegant design, plus their distinction of being built on a “One Inch” thick platform. You will feel and see the difference immediately with the one-inch door thickness. It has a sturdy, heavier feel, and a noticeably greater visual profile relief. Three of the styles in the collection (Toulon, Whitney and Linear) represent the first offering in a Wood-Mode one-inch thick door. The fourth new door style, Alexandria, is an addition to the one-inch thick face frame collection for inset cabinetry.
Toulon: This classic mitered frame construction with dramatic beveled interior profiles gives striking elegance to both the raised and recessed center panel. The raised panel contour provides a graceful counterpoint to the frame while both the raised and recessed panel versions move easily between transitional and traditional environments. Available in in cherry, maple, oak, quarter sawn red oak or walnut.
Whitney: Adding to the lineup of 1” thick doors is the Whitney Recessed panel design. The simple interplay of basic geometric shapes gives the mitered frame construction a timeless quality ideal for the flat recessed center panel. A variety of wood species including cherry, maple, oak, quarter sawn red oak or walnut enables the customer to create a sophisticated traditional or contemporary statement.
Linear: Rounding out the 1” thick introductions is the Linear Recessed panel door. This asymmetrical design employs the frame profile of Whitney for its horizontal members while the vertical elements of the mortise and tenon construction are straight lined. The dramatic bevel of the rails provides a compelling transition to the flat center panel. Selections are available in cherry, maple, oak, quarter sawn red oak and walnut.
Alexandria: (shown above and below with BlogTour Las Vegas members): Alexandria has two new inset door style options, Alexandria Raised and Alexandria Recessed inset add to the Wood-Mode range of design options in the traditional inset style. Both incorporate the 1” thick cabinet front frame adding an inherent sense of elegant richness and dimensional depth through the door profile.
