Winners of KBDN’s 2019 Kitchen & Bath Design Awards
The annual Kitchen & Bath Design Awards competition honors outstanding projects completed this year. This competition was initiated to recognize kitchen and bath specialists and other professionals for outstanding project design and construction. Entries for this contest come from across the U.S. and Canada, and our Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly team won awards in two categories. Entries were judged by a panel of top design professionals based on aesthetic appeal, functionality of the space, attention to detail, originality, selection of colors and finishes, and overall impression. Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly won awards in both “Master Bathrooms $100k Over” and “Kitchens over $225k.” Congrats to our entire team and designer Shan Chang for these outstanding projects.
Gold Award in Master Bathroom $100k & Over
This stunning master bathroom is a luxury retreat featuring our Ken Kelly Custom Signature Collection cabinet. The cabinetry is designed with a satin white finish and custom molding. The interiors are custom made with all natural maple wood. The vanity doors are further customized with faux leather panel inserts, giving it depth and a very unique touch enhancing the overall design. The hand-made mosaic mural is an artistic tile featuring green and white lotus flowers on the back of the shower wet room. The shower design adds a three-dimensional look with color-rich layering to the master bath. We obtained a gold award in its competition category. Read about this project here.
2019 Honorable Mention in Kitchens over $225k
The Chinese ancient coin panels flanking the kitchen are absolutely stunning in this kitchen’s artistic interpretation. The design embraces Feng Shui, featuring Chinese calligraphy styled panels. This luxury kitchen has maple wood cabinetry along the perimeter from our custom Ken Kelly Signature Collection and is finished in satin white. The color combination of grey with white scored extremely high in aesthetic appeal and overall impression in the contest. Read more about this project here.
