We had a great time at our Thrive Naturally “Food Can Heal” instructional cooking event hosted by certified health coach and holistic nutritionist, Maryann Jones, and holistic chef, Christine Borzell of Farm to Table Personal Chef Services. It was such a great way to introduce our brand new “Great Room” to the public by sharing delicious and healthy recipes and tips to better your health.
Often, we don’t realize the footprints we leave on our health each time we take the easy “fast food” alternative. Food these days is loaded with hormones, fillers, and preservatives – all things that our bodies have a very difficult time processing. The complications we create for ourselves with our diets, especially as we get older, unleash a plethora of disease and sickness. That is why learning to cook organic meals rich in vitamins and nutrients (that will help heal and pamper our bodies) is paramount to living healthy.
That being said, would you consider yourself a healthy eater? What steps do you take towards living a healthier lifestyle? Do you have any tips or recipes you’d like to share?
Since the “Food Can Heal” cooking workshop was such a success, we are happy to tell you that we will be hosting many more cooking demos in the near future (so spread the word). Our next workshop is November 18, 2011 at 12 noon (see flier here). Also, be sure to stop in and see the new Great Room yourself, you never know what will be cooking!
