This elegant Provence kitchen is inspired by French and English design. It combines an eclectic mix of furniture pieces to create a relaxed, charming kitchen. Four different finishes were used throughout the kitchen to create its timeless look and country flair. The arched SubZero refrigerator hutch is made with French Country trim moulding French cabriole feet. The base cabinet doors on the farm sink (photo 3) was an intentional desired aesthetic but note that these cabinet doors can be made larger to decrease the gap between the sink and the door. The sink wall includes open shelving for a nice balance of country flair. The pie safe (4th photo) has wire mesh inserts and square raised pegs on its country accent doors.
The cupboard (5th photo) serves as a stand alone hutch. Recently we have been creating stand alone hutches that can also double as room dividers — finished on both sides. They work particularly well as room dividers in larger kitchens and great rooms or in areas where you want to offset the kitchen from the dining room. The kitchen island is actually a special custom table base that is 63” x 38”. The table includes two full width base apron drawers on front and back with Louis Philippe drawerheads.
